Taskin Ahmed, POTM: (He’s heaving in big breaths with a mix of excitement and exhaustion) We all were nervous. It was a very good match, it wasn’t very easy for us. It was the first time I saw something like that (no ball) Focusing on my process, and this was the result of that. The pitches back home are slow, here we are getting early movement and help. So everything is going well. We have a good fast-bowling bunch and are working on improving. Allan Donald and other support staff are helping us. Hopefully, we’ll improve further.
Pitch and weather: Teams batting first have won four out of the six T20Is in Brisbane, with 168 being the average first-innings score. No problems on the weather front on match day.
Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh Highlights today. 28th Match, Group 2, Brisbane Cricket Ground, Woolloongabba, Brisbane, Sunday 30-10-2022, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
Toss: Bangladesh chose to bat first.
Shakib Al Hasan: It’s a dry wicket, we want to put runs on the board. We want to forget the last game. Zimbabwe are on a high, so we have to do well. Both teams know each other. Yasir Ali comes in for Mehidy.
Craig Ervine: Won’t change too much, but batting first was our priority. We haven’t had much time to celebrate due to the flight. But the focus is on doing well today. One change: Jongwe out, Chatara in.
