Kuldeep Sen: This is my first IPL, and it’s been great as the folks have been supportive. Lasith helps keep things simple and teaches me basics like executing the yorkers and slower ones. Playing with the international bowlers has been great, Prasidh Krishna and Trent Boult have been excellent sources of knowledge on and off the field. We have had plans based on Liam Livingstone’s shots and gameplay; keep the tactics under wraps by saying they will be revealed in the middle.
Indian Premier League 2022 Points Table
Liam Livingstone: (On 117 meter six) The one at Leeds and this was different, but it feels great to hit it as big as you can as we are in the entertainment business and it is great for the fans. Unfortunately, it only gives us only six and not more (laughs). I don’t have a solid defense, so I can’t compare it to being able to hit big sixes. But the latter is a confidence thing and being able to put the bowler under pressure. I took on Shami because I thought I can hit the short boundary, not the NRR.
Also, Rashid and Lockie had overs at the other end. But sometimes, when you get going you cannot stop. I have been trying to increase consistency on the sixes and it is getting better. Hopefully, I can do more of the same today (On middle overs approach today with quality spinners) It depends on the pitch. It’s a massive game, we have to win pretty much all games. But it kind of conjures up a situation where we have little to lose, so we can go with the hits if it is in the arc.

Mayank Agarwal: This is a good pitch. The conditions are hot, it might get slower and turn a bit. It was fantastic from Liam, the openers laid out a good platform as well which was pleasing. We are playing the same team.
Sanju Samson: We would have liked to have batted first, but we have a balanced side. It is a different challenge, so we will look to enjoy it. Karun Nair misses out for Yashaswi Jaiswal.
