After winning the 5th T20I match Pakistan reaches almost the victory in seven twenty/20 international series from the England tour of Pakistan 2022. Mohammad Rizwan scored 315 runs in five innings with his 88 not out, he is the top runs scorer of the series so far. The second most runs scorer is the captain of the Pakistan team, Babar Azam, with 194 runs, he scored his highest 110 not out. HC Brook a youngster from the visitor team England, is showing his batting skills beautifully. He scored 192 runs in five matches.
From the bowling performance from both sides, Haris Rauf is the leading wicket-taker so far with eight wickets, MA Wood took six wickets in two matches, and Mohammad Nawaz is the third most successful bowler with five wickets.
Pitch: Two strips had been prepared at the Gaddafi Stadium and it seems likely Friday’s game will be played on the fresh one. The evidence of the fifth T20I suggested that run-scoring will be much harder work than on the lightning decks of Karachi. Rain shouldn’t be a problem, but the players can expect another hot and humid night.
Pakistan vs England 6th T20I Highlights today, Friday 30-9-2022. 6th T20I (D/N), Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, England tour of Pakistan 2022.
England won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Moeen Ali has called right for the fifth time out of six. “The wicket will stay good throughout, last game was a bit tacky but we have to chase well and win the game,” he says. “It’s not always about going hard, you have to adapt to the conditions, hopefully, we can do that tonight.” Two changes for England, with Mark Wood and Chris Woakes, rested, Richard Gleeson and Reece Topley come in.
Babar Azam says he would have bowled too, because of the dew factor, but is looking to post “160-170” and defend for the third game running. As for the selection, Pakistan have opted to leave out Rizwan and Rauf, their gun batter and bowler – so a bit of flex from the home side. Haris and Shahnawaz Dahani are the men to come in.
