Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup Highlights – 6 Nov 2022

Bavuma: “Hard one to swallow. We had the confidence and belief in ourselves as a unit to make the playoffs. Unfortunately for us, we couldn’t do it. Winning the toss and bowling, what they got wasn’t ideal. We lost wickets at crucial times. They used the dimensions of the field a lot better than we did.”

Edwards: “Lost for words! It’s going to take a bit of time… we are sort of used to those conditions. It’s definitely up there – another big upset for the Netherlands in a World Cup! We were still playing for a spot in the next World Cup.”

Colin Ackermann is the Player of the Match: “Feels fantastic, we really deserved this victory! The boys worked really hard. Come in, and take it deep, and the boundaries flowed at the end. The surface was slow, and was taking a bit of turn.”

Shaheen Shah Afridi, POTM: I have improved. Not easy to come back from injury and bowl 140ks but I’m trying my best. As a team, we are very happy. We played great. Bowl in the right areas and fast was the plan. (On if they’re looking forward to the semis) Now, we are looking forward to the final (laughs).

Pitch and weather: Three out of four matches at the Adelaide Oval have been won by the side defending a total, with the average score batting first in those matches being 179. Teams have been helped by the short square boundaries too. A full game is in the offing as no rain has been forecast for Sunday.
