Shakib al Hasan: It’s been difficult (on the series). We played our best game today. We could have scored more in the last over with the bat. The position we were in we could have scored more but if you gave me 170 at the start of the innings, I’d have taken that. We’re clear on our plans for the World Cup. My bowling’s not been up to the mark.
Babar Azam: Definitely I’m happy. We are playing well, a win always gives you confidence. We weren’t up to the mark with the ball. Me and Rizwan started well and Nawaz was outstanding. We were waiting for our middle order to step up and win us a match. Looking forward to the final and carrying momentum from this game.
Mohammad Rizwan is the player of the match: Credit to Bangladesh’s bowlers. They bowled really well. We wanted to keep wickets in hand in the first 10. I’d like to credit Mohammad Nawaz as he made it easy in the end. Nawaz’s innings changed the momentum. Obviously, the win gives us confidence. New Zealand is playing at home (on the final tomorrow) but we have confidence.
