Andre Russell: As an allrounder, I would take what stats say but I could have done better with the bat in some situations. I wish I had some more runs based on my personal goals. I try to make sure I am in a position to hit boundaries. In the T20s I know I can make up later. So I don’t panic if I get two-three dots. If I hit a six or a four, that gets me going. My power hitting has to do a lot with my core. I do a lot of power working to ensure my core is strong. Even if you advance down the track, once your front foot is planted, your core is involved in shot-making, and the ball will travel. Plus the bats that I have been given make me look better.

LSG won the toss and will bat first.
“LSG hasn’t been solid chasing,” says Shreyas Iyer, KKR captain before adding, “we wanted to bat first. We have to show everyone that we can step up and win it for the coaches and support staff.” Abhijeet Tomar comes in for Ajinkya Rahane.
“It is tough chasing. So try and put up a score and defend it,” says Rahul, LSG captain. “Couple of bad games is not going to change our season.
