India vs West Indies 1st Test Day 2 Highlights – 13th July 2023

The captain of the home team Kraigg Brathwaite chose to bat first after winning the toss. West Indians scored exact 150 runs in their first innings with using 64.3 overs. Kraigg Brathwaite scored 20 runs and out. Alick Athanaze was the top runs scorer from the West Indies team. He scored 47 runs off 99 deliveries. Jason Holder contributed 18 runs and Rahkeem Cornwall added 19 runs to his team’s scoreboard.

Ravichandran Ashwin bowled 24.3 overs, gave 60 runs and took five wickets. Ravindra Jadeja dismissed three West Indian batters in 14 overs with leaking just 26 runs. Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur took one wicket each. So it’s clear that the Indian spinners dominated at the first day. The pitch get dried very fast. Indian batsmen showed their skills and scored 80 runs with no wicket loss at stumps day 3.
