India vs Australia 5th T20I Highlights 2023 – 3 December

Pitch and weather: Runs, runs and runs have been the theme at the Chinnaswamy Stadium of late. With short boundaries and a placid surface, another run-fest could well be on the cards on Sunday. In the IPL this year, scores in excess of 180 were breached in nine of 14 innings, and even in the ODI World Cup batters enjoyed their time here. While the overhead conditions are likely to remain cloudy, there is no threat of rain with the temperature expected to hover around the 18 to 22 degree mark on the Celsius scale.

India vs Australia Highlights Today, Australia tour of India 2023 5th T20I (N), M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, Sunday 3-12-2023.

Matthew Wade: Some rain in the air, and the wicket is tacky, so want to field. Nathan Ellis comes in for Green so let’s see what we can do. A lot of the World Cup guys went home and so exciting times for the young players to put their hand up. Nice to have some stability.
Suryakumar Yadav: We would have loved to bowl. As long as we are losing the toss and winning, we don’t mind. I have told them the same thing, don’t change anything. There is another chance to play international cricket in front of such a fantastic crowd, so just go out and express. The batting unit has delivered. Have told them to believe in themselves. One change, Arshdeep Singh comes in for Deepak Chahar, who has flown back due to a medical emergency.

Wade wins the toss and Australia will field.

Post Match Presentation

Matthew Wade:

Yeah, I thought we bowled relatively well and kept them down to a total that should’ve been chased down. Pretty disappointing. There’s always a temptation [to move up the order]; it was spoken about but looking forward to the World Cup. My job is to get us home in situations like tonight. It would’ve been nice to get the result, but we learn and I thought Ben McDermott bounced back, Behrendorff, Dwarshuis, Sangha made an impact in tough conditions.

Yeah, it was a good series from day one. Absolutely, we wanted to be fearless and enjoy ourselves when we were in the middle. So, very happy with that. I’ve seen many a game at Chinnaswamy, 160-175 can be a tricky total here.

Axar Patel is the Player of the Match.

Bishnoi is the Player of the Series:

The first match wasn’t that great so I just wanted to execute my plans, which I did in the other games. My plan is simple – bowling stump to stump works, just short of length works, pitching it up can be hit. I wanted to be a typical legspinner by bringing the long-on up. South Africa will throw different pitches so but I’ll try to attack there too.
