England vs New Zealand Highlights today Thursday, 23-6-2022 – 3rd Test, New Zealand tour of England from Headingley, Leeds.
NZ, elected to bat first.
Kane Williamson unsurprisingly wants to make first use of this Headingley deck. Neil Wagner does come in, alongside the returning Williamson, with the injured Jamieson and Matt Henry those to miss out. “For us, it’s about those small improvements, a lot of good in the last two games but try and build on that,” Williamson says of how his side will attack this. Stokes confirms he, too, would have batted first (but this does mean England could be asked to pull off a fourth-innings chase for the third Test running). Jamies Overton debuts, but England are otherwise unchanged. “The way we did it was the most pleasing thing,” Stokes says of Trent Bridge. “The way we operated the whole five days was fantastic. We’ve built something great over the past two weeks, we’re going to look to continue.”
