Post Match Presentation

Andy Balbirnie: “Disappointed with the bat again. We didn’t apply ourselves. Bowlers did well. Spinners bowled well, really good operators. Stirlo’s two wickets were a bonus. But it was just a batting thing, we want to bounce back. Gives us an opportunity to play against a really good team. We are building towards the T20 World Cup, of course, but want to play well too.”

David Miller, the player of the match: “Nice to contribute, very chuffed. Wickets lost up fronts never help. Wiaan batted beautifully, showed what he’s learned over a couple of years. Good rebuild, and then explosion at the end. Spinners have been phenomenal. Blessed with Shamsi, Bjorn, and George. It’s a good problem to have since you can’t necessarily play all of them. T20 World Cup is obviously the goal and we are building nicely but we are going game by game.”
