Tabraiz Shamsi is the Player of the Match He says he’s happy with his bowling. Tried to assess the pitch. In Ireland, he expected to have a “holding role” but was happy coming into the game as a dominant force in this match. He still has some variations up his sleeve.
Andy Balbirnie says they would’ve taken 165 at the halfway stage.
Temba Bavuma says they wanted a few more runs in the first innings but were hampered by the early powerplay wickets. But he said he was sure their bowling was their strength and is “super happy” with that aspect of their game. “It helps” a lot when the mystery spinner is doing well. Some words of encouragement for Rabada, Ngidi, Lizaad, and Linde too.
