David Warner: I’m doing well, it’s a do-or-die clash for us and hopefully we can be on the right side. The prep has been better than last time, there were hiccups. But we have played and practiced a lot, so there are no excuses and we are good to go. Our plan is to stick to the basics and keep things simple. In our last game, we did not use big boundaries well enough and holed out while trying to clear them. We need to rotate strike better and pick our areas smartly. The key to my consistency comes from the clarity of mind. Going well in the first six allows guys coming down to build on the innings and those coming late can finish things off. I’m loving being part of the tournament, it is the best in the world. It’s awesome and I’m excited.
Indian Premier League 2022 Points Table
Yashasvi Jaiswal: I’m feeling good and am excited about the game. On the sidelines, I was following my normal routines. I was meditating, working on my game, and learning from seniors. Zubin (Bharucha) sir helped. I was trying to get better and be prepared for when the chance arrived. (On taking the first ball in the last game) I wanted to do it and Jos allowed me to go and told me to enjoy myself. (On Sangakkara’s assistance) We have had chats during practice, the communication has been great and he gives useful advice. I’m glad to be under him. More than dwelling on the results in this game, I am thinking of expressing myself and focusing on the controllable.
Indian Premier League 2022 Fixture
Rishabh Pant: It is dry and we are expecting dew later, so we will bowl first. Chat was positive after the last game. Hold more wickets in the middle overs and bowl good overs. Anything between 140-160 will be good. Ripal Patel makes way for Lalit Yadav. Chetan Sakariya comes in for Khaleel Ahmed.
Sanju Samson: I don’t mind losing the toss. Rassie van der Dussen comes in for Shimron Hetmyer. We have been playing good cricket and will look to continue doing that. It looks like a good surface and may hold up a bit in the beginning.
