The first day of the historic test match ruined by the rain, no play even toss had been delayed for the next day. In the first tour match on April 28, Pakistan batted first and scored 168 runs all out in 55.2 overs. Sami Aslam opener of the Pakistan team faced 40 balls and scored 13 runs, Azhar Ali 15, Imam-ul-Haq scored 61 runs and he was the top runs scorer.
In the second tour match, Pakistan bowled first and Northamptonshire all out with 129 runs. Shadab Khan took six wickets in that match, Rahat Ali took two and Haris Sohail took one wicket. Pakistan scored 428 runs all out, Asad Shafiq scored 186 not out, Haris Sohail 79 and Babar Azam 57. Northamptonshire scored 301 runs all out in their second innings, Mohammad Abbas and Shadab Khan these two Pakistani bowlers took four wickets each of them and the remaining two wickets were taken by Rahat Ali, in the end, Pakistan won by 9 wickets.
Ireland win the toss and Pakistan will bat.
