Pakistan tour of West Indies 2017 T20 Series Report

Four t20 matches had been played between Pakistan and West Indies in West Indies. Pakistan won the series by gaining three victories and West Indies earned only one victory at home. In the first match, Pakistan had won the toss and chose to bowl first. In the end, Pakistan won by 6 wickets (with 17 balls remaining). Target was 112 runs and Pakistan achieved it in 17.1 overs with four wickets down. Shoaib Malik was the most runs scorer with 38 runs not out in that match. Babar Azam scored 29 and Kamran Akmal 22. Shadab Khan took three wickets in that match on his debut.

In the second match, Pakistan lost the toss and batted first and gave 133 runs target to West Indies. In that Pakistan innings, almost every batsman contributed some runs like Ahmed Shehzad 14. Babar Azam 27, Shoaib Malik 28, Sarfraz Ahmed*† 12. Shadab Khan 13 but last good batted batsmen was Wahab Riaz who scored 24 runs off ten balls. Pakistan team was all out in 20 overs. SP Narine and CR Brathwaite dismissed six Pakistan batsmen, S Badree took two wickets and KOK Williams took one wicket.

E Lewis opener of the West Indies team scored only three runs and out but after his wicket. CAK Walton† and MN Samuels scored 55 runs partnership. MN Samuels scored 44 runs and CAK Walton† 21, CR Brathwaite* 15 and JO Holder 26. Shadab Khan took four wickets, Wahab Riaz and Hasan Ali took two wickets. In the end, Pakistan won by 3 runs. Third t20 was a brilliant knock from West Indies because. in that match, Pakistan got the toss and chose to bat first. Scored 137 runs in 20 overs with eight wickets down and West Indies won by 7 wickets (with 31 balls remaining).

It was all about E Lewis on that day because he smashed very hard to all Pakistani bowlers and scored 91 runs off 51 balls. He smashed nine 6s and five 4s in his innings. Fourth and final t20 match was not a power-hitting match because, in that match, a total of 251 runs had been scored by both teams. Only three 6s and eleven 4s had been smashed by the Pakistani team, Five 4s and nine 6s had been smashed by West Indies. In that match, Pakistan won by 7 wickets (with 6 balls remaining).
