New Zealand vs Australia 2nd Test Day 2 Highlights 21 Feb 2016

After the magnificent start from New Zealand batsmen on the first day with 370 runs in first innings, they are very happy with their performance. Now Australia team batsmen have a lot of pressure because they lost one wicket at the first day and second batsmen UT Khawaja very dangerous striker of the ball down with 24 runs bowl by Boult and catch by McCullum at the early second day. New Zealand 32 for 3 in 20 overs that stage was very crucial for them and very good for opponents but after the start of McCullum New Zealand team comes again in the game and played very beautifully approx all next batsmen.

There are only four batsmen who completed their centuries under 60 balls, BB McCullum completed his century off 54 balls in New Zealand v Australia 2nd test matchday 1 at Christchurch 20 February 2016 and it is the fastest century of the test cricket which had not made ever before, the second number is IVA Richards who completed his century off 56 balls at St John’s 1986 against England, Third Misbah-ul-Haq who also completed his century off 56 balls against Australia at Abu Dhabi in 2015 and the fourth number is AC Gilchrist at 57 balls.

Note: All the figures are from the start of an individual innings. NJ Astle’s second hundred in his 222 v England at Christchurch in 2001/02 took 39 balls.

Josh Hazlewood, James Pattinson and Jackson Bird these three bowlers tried their best effort but nobody gets McCullum’s wicket until he reached at 145 off 79 balls then 45.1 finally it ends. With a lovely catch off Pattinson’s bowling. That’s how we thought it happened some 100 runs ago, but that turned out to be a no-ball. Since then McCullum has made Australia pay through some sensational hitting. This time he moves inside the line of a length ball and plays a pick-up shot. Lyon at long leg picks it early, and charges in, and dives forward to take a superb catch. A third very good legal catch today 253/5.
