South Africa have won the toss and they’ll bat first.
Faf du Plessis: Generally what this wicket does is in the night is that in about 10 overs, it speeds up. We’re looking for our seamers to use that. Aiden Markram comes in for AB at No. 4. Phehlukwayo and Morris are our two all-rounders and Imran Tahir is back.
Virat Kohli: We would have batted first here as well. It’s a pretty easy decision because of the conditions around. Playing two wrist-spinners and Kedar as the office, along with Bhuvi and Bumrah, gives us an opportunity to do whatever we have to do. We’ve played good cricket at this ground always.
We’ll have good crowd support too. As I said, the balance of our team gives us the opportunity to have a crack at both innings equally. The ODI players coming are feeding off the positive energy in the dressing room. [From the Test series] we found out our character and it gives us more belief starting the ODIs than we had starting the Tests.
