After two early wickets down first at 26 and second at 60, India controlled the bating line third down at 100 which was the last wicket for the first day then V Kohli captain of the team and AM Rahane batted very good. Rahane scored 79 runs off 172 balls with nine 4s and a six not out.
V Kohli form returned and he batted till the end of the first day with scoring his century (103 runs) by facing 191 balls with ten boundaries which all were 4s. TA Boult, JS Patel, and MJ Santner these three bowlers took three wickets one wicket each of them. Now India scored a total of 267 runs with three wickets down till stumps day 1. If India team will score 500 plus then it can be a very huge victory in the end.
