It was Shadab Khan who smashed all English bowlers all around the park by scoring 56 runs off 52 deliveries. He smashed ten 4s in his beautiful innings. When his wicket dismissed then it was (48.1 full, angled in from round the wicket, Shadab swings it to leg… but picks out the man at deep midwicket! Curran has his maiden Test pole! A fine, fighting knock from Shadab ends with a bit of a hoick, but he’s given the scorecard some respectability 174/10). England played 37 overs and scored 106 runs with two wickets down. AN Cook scored 46, KK Jennings 29, JE Root (c) 29 not out.
