T20 Asia Cup 2016 1st qualifying match will be played today Friday 19th Feb 2016 between Afghanistan and United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Outer Stadium, Fatullah (Bangladesh) which has a capacity of at least 25,000 people. This qualifying match is the first match of Asia Cup 2016 and will be played five more t20 matches between Hong Kong, Oman, Afghanistan and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Victor from qualifying rounds will be playing next Asia Cups matches permanently and will join the permanent countries of Asia Cup from 24th Feb 2016. India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan are the permanent members of the ASIA Cup.
United Arab Emirates team recently played two t20 matches against Ireland and won one match. Last time in ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier both teams played a match against each other on July 10th, 2015 at Grange Cricket Club Ground, Raeburn Place, Edinburgh. In that match, United Arab Emirates won the toss and chose to bat first and scored 164 runs in 20 overs with a fall of six wickets.
Mohammad Shahzad From UAE team played well against AFG and scored 43 runs off 28 balls and Shaiman Anwar scored 35 runs off 25 balls. Mohammad Shahzad† from AFG team scored 74 runs off 37 balls, Asghar Stanikzai* 44 off 33 not out.
